Arrival Time: Now!

It's a very exciting day! A ton of great things came in for our Welcome Kits today, as did our Make Your Mark tees!  Although I have been excited about them all summer, I was stunned at how well they turned out.  Both the white and the yellow look great!

Remember, we're only selling 100 and a bunch have already been sold! It's not too late to pre-order your shirt to ensure they have your size for Move-In day.  If you pre-order, the shirts only cost $12.00 each.  If you decide to buy one at the door, they are $15.00.

Eek, Only 3 More Weeks!

Only THREE more weeks until Move-In day! Oh my, there is a lot to do.

If you haven't already checked out the Residence website (http://residence.lakeheadu.ca/), it might be worth it to do so.  Not only does it show you the Rules and Regulations (which you signed saying you understood), it also gives you a list of suggested items to bring and not to bring- very helpful!

Don't forget, there are a lot of great things going on for Orientation weekend.  Between the Orienation Office, LUSU and Residence, there are tons of great things to keep you busy, help you get to know your housemates, classmates, campus and off-campus.  If you haven't already registered for Orientation events, do so ASAP as spots fill up quickly.  Also, LUSU is putting on some awesome events this year too.  You can sign up for Paintballing, Flolf (frisbee golf, duh!), and some cultural Thunder Bay activities!  Obviously Residence has a ton of great Orientation events too that weekend!  The working Residence Orientation schedule should be on the Residence website soon.

Also, don't forget that Residence is participating in what we are calling "Charity Weekend!"  The 17th and 18th of September are going to be busy, but totally worth it! That Saturday, the 17th LUSU is running Shinerama, the baseball tournament for Cystic Fibrosis.  If you're unsure if you have a team, talk to your HP or RA.  The 18th is the Terry Fox Run.  This year Residence has a goal of $1200, which is $1.00 per student.  Your house should have registered already, so start raising money.  The house with the most money will be awarded AND it's worth House Points- you may not know what these are yet, but you will soon... and they're worth it!!
